A mammoth nine race card is set to be run and won at Ascot on Saturday afternoon where the track has come up a Good 4 and the rail out 5m the entire circuit. With a perfect day for racing forecast for Saturday afternoon we should see great conditions for the two featured events, the J.C. Roberts Stakes and Natasha Stakes both worth $100,000. Racing is set to get underway at 11:59am AWST with the last set to go at 5:15pm
Race 7: J.C. Roberts Stakes Best Bet
Having smashed his rivals in the Listed Lex Piper Stakes, Western Empire should have no issue when he matches up against most of his rivals in the J.C. Roberts Stakes. He only goes up the 2kg for this run and from barrier five with Chris Parnham on board, he should find a handy spot in the running most like one out, one back. Western Empire clearly has plenty of talent and will be one of the favoured runners in the WATC Derby next month and will want to keep stringing the wins together. With odds of $1.40 it is hard to get too excited but Western Empire just wins this with a leg up in the air.

Race 5: Natasha Stakes Tips
Pure Devotion showed she has what it takes when a close up third in the Ascot 1000 Guineas on February 27 when held up for quite some time at a crucial time. Having only finished 1.75 lengths off the same quinella she meets here 2kgs better in the weights. From barrier seven, expect Kyra Yuill to push the daughter of So You Think to sit just outside the leader and with a sit and sprint expected she could get things run her own way. With the favourite Solaia expected to take up the running she may be vulnerable this late in a campaign and set up the race perfectly for Pure Devotion.

Best Bet Bet Of The Day
The Adam Durrant-trained Savage One has strung together wins at Geraldton and then a dominant victory at Pinjarra on March 3. The gelding gave nothing else a chance when leading all the way and despite being challenged with 300m to go he kicked clear to win in commanding fashion. When $3.60 was posted when markets opened it was too hard to ignore and with limited early speed in the race expect Savage One to burn across the face of the field and be too fast to catch.
