Apprentice Nyssa Burrells remains in intensive care after surgery to drain a brain bleed after a fall at Warwick Farm jump-outs.

Burrells underwent the operation after Friday’s fall and Racing NSW said the next 24 to 48 hours were critical and she would be constantly monitored by doctors.

It appears the horse Burrells was riding fell and landed on top of her.

Racing NSW’s Dr David Duckworth said Burrells had other injuries which would be looked at later.

The 30-year-old is indentured to trainer Scott Wade and her most recent winner came aboard Ain’t She A Dane at Bathurst last Saturday.
