James Cummings has set his sights high for Alizee after her maiden win at Warwick Farm, with the Silver Shadow Stakes now on the talented filly’s schedule.

Godolphin’s head trainer was certainly taken with the daughter of Sepoy after the three-year secured an early double for Cummings on Wednesday.

Piracy also scored for the first time when winning the card-opening Maiden Handicap (1100m) but it was the gelding’s stablemate that caught the eye.

“I love that she’s produced that off one trial,” Cummings said.

Alizee claimed The Everest Is Coming Handicap (1100m) by three-quarters of a length from of the Bjorn Baker-trained Songlike.

“She’s the top weight today, you can’t underestimate beating the quality of that sort of opposition with only one trial under her belt.

“She’s definitely given us signs that’s ready to go bang now that she’s turned three.

“She matched motors exceptionally well with Piracy in a lovely gallop at the weekend, we were confident both horses would come here and run well. They’ve delivered for us.”

Cummings said Alizee would now target the Silver Shadow (1200m) at Randwick on August 19.

A start in the $1 million Golden Rose was unlikely.

“I think we’ve got colts to target that but certainly with the sort of feel she’s giving me the Princess series could be a nice circuit for her to be tacking on to.

“I think she’ll be well-suited for the Silver Shadow with its set weights and penalties.”

Piracy ($9.50) also hit the line hard to shade the Chris Waller-trained Al Mah Haha ($3.60) by a short half head.

“The opposition he was up against, it was a very strong race and his starting price reflected that,” Cummings said.

“He’s a horse with a future and hopefully there’s a very solid campaign coming up,” he said.

Tim Clark took the early lead in the Sydney jockeys’ premiership after he notched a treble aboard Perizada, More Moet and Nat King Cu.
