Guangdong has trialed well leading into this maiden and looks capable of making an instant impact. The Fastnet Rock filly looked strong in particular in its second trial at Rosehill and will be one of the main hopes in a field that has a number of inexperienced runners.
Race 2 tip: Guangdong to win ($5.50 at Crownbet)
Race 3 – Maiden Handicap (1250m)

Aqua D’ivina has finished second twice in its two career race starts and looks to be making headway with every run. The improvement it made from its first start to the second was encouraging, and if it maintains that trajectory it will take this race out.
Race 3 tip: Aqua D’ivina to win ($3.30 at Sporstbet)
Race 4 – Benchmark 64 (1550m)

Happy Go Plucky draws bottom weight here which will count for a lot in an open field. In its last five races the horse has won twice and finished second another time. It’s time for Happy Go Plucky to prove its worth, and we think it will here.
Race 4 tip: Happy Go Plucky to win ($3.60 at William Hill)
Race 5 – Benchmark 74 (1550m)

Chris Waller-trained Baysa is hunting a second-straight win after claiming a comfortable one length victory last time out at the same venue it confronts on Wednesday. The mare gets a great gate and under these conditions it should be backing up its last-start success.
Baysa is our best bet of the day at Canterbury
Race 5 tip: Baysa to win ($3.30 at Ladbrokes)
Race 6 – Benchmark 64 (1200m)

Jemadar resumes after a three month break, and the horse has won first-up in the past. The horse comes into this race off the back of a strong trial performance, and we are backing the Pfieffer runner to deliver a performance here.

Emperor’s Way is hunting back-to-back wins after winning at Gosford as a $1.50 favourite via Sportsbet. The horse is also coming into this one third-up, where it has won in the past, so everything seems to be in line for another strong performance here.
Emperor’s Way is our next best bet of the day at Canterbury
