Improvement expected for Inz’N’Out’s second Randwick run
THE Gerald Ryan-trained gelding Inz’N’Out made a less-than-stellar return to the track last week at Randwick, but the trainer believes the five-year-old will benefit greatly from the hit out.
The Zariz progeny was just three lengths behind the winner upon resumption at Randwick last week, but the trainer is willing to forgive the run, given the race did not pan out how he intended.
The five-year-old ran to the front of the field early in the piece and dictated a hot tempo that it could not sustain, wilting badly in the final 200m to finish fifth behind eventual winner Kudero.
Ryan believes the on-speed run that Inz’N’Out got did not suit his style.
“He just went way too hard in the run,” Ryan told HorseBetting.com.au.
“First run back in around 20 weeks, just didn’t get it to suit and he didn’t do well at all.
“He really wasn’t suited to going that hard, he wasn’t anywhere near fit enough, but we’ll take something from it.”

The trainer is willing to forgive the run however, and is expecting a big performance on Saturday at Randwick.
Inz’N’Out is a $7.50 chance at Crownbet.com.au to take out the AHC June Stakes at Randwick.

Ryan is anticipating a much improved performance from the gelding.
“He’ll get a bit out of that first up run.
“He’s a good, honest goer, and he was back after five months off in a race that didn’t suit so I’m not taking too much out of it.”
Ryan has plenty of reason to be optimistic about Saturday’s race.

From five second up runs Inz’N’Out has missed a placing just once in its career, and its record on the wet tracks reads even more encouraging.
On soft or heavy tracks the gelding has missed the placings only four times from ten attempts and has three wins to its name on the wet surfaces.
A sloppy Randwick track is anticipated for Saturday, and Ryan believes that will play into the five-year-old’s favour come race seven on the card.
“The horse hasn’t won in close to two years but he has performed well on wet tracks before,” the trainer said.
