A seven-part card is scheduled to be run and won at Ballarat Turf Club on Monday afternoon as racing is set to get underway for another week in Victoria. HorseBetting.com.au brings you the top odds, best bets and free quaddie numbers for the synthetic track meeting getting underway at 1:30pm AEST.
Best Bet: #2 Raazou
The Leon & Troy Corstens-trained Raazou comes to Ballarat fresh from a three-month spell and is set to get back on a synthetic track for the first time since his debut run. Raazou finished second on debut back on August 28, 2020 and has struggled on turf since then and connections will be hoping a return to synthetic means a maiden victory follows. Having drawn the widest barrier here, we expect Dean Holland to have him settled outside the leader throughout and when asked for an effort he should be putting a decent gap on this lot and breaking through for a maiden win at start five.

Next Best: #4 Ostracised
The Hawkes stable saddle up Ostracised who comes to the Ballarat synthetic for what looks to be an easy kill and a confidence builder. Jye McNeil heads to Ballarat for two rides, with this being his obvious winning chance. Expect McNeil to use Ostracised early speed to his advantage from barrier six and take up the running in a race that lacks early speed. The only danger looks to come from some of the unraced brigade but has the runs on the board to be breaking his maiden at start three. He has two minor placings to begin his career and simply looks too good for this maiden field.
Race 2 – Ostracised (#4)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1370099_02]
Best Value: #2 Kosowski
Brendan McCarthy saddles up Kosowski in the penultimate leg of the Ballarat quaddie on the quick seven-day backup. He was a smart winner over the 1000m on the synthetic track at Ballarat on May 17 and stepping up the 1100m should suit him perfectly. He stays at the 62.5kg and from barrier two we expect Daniel Stackhouse to take a sit off the leaders heels and when a gap appears expect the pair to explode through the gap and prove too hard to hold out over the 1100m.
Race 6 – Kosowski (#2)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1370099_06]
