Pakenham Racecourse is scheduled to host an eight-part card on its synthetic track on Thursday night. The rail is set in the true position for the entire circuit, and the card is set to get underway at 5:30pm AEST. HorseBetting.com.au brings you the top odds, best bets and quaddie selections for Thursday night’s meeting under lights.
Best Bet: Unvanquishable
Matthew Brown saddles up Unvanquishable, who has been building to his maiden win this campaign and gets his chance on Thursday night. His most recent effort at Geelong on May 14 saw him finish a half-length second in the shadows of the winning post after leading the field up. We expect Liam Riordan to use barrier one to his advantage and take the son of I Am Invincible to the front, from where they could prove very hard to run down over the 1600m.

Next Best: Fast ‘N’ Deep
In the second leg of the quaddie, Mark Sues will be looking to make it back-to-back victories with Fast ‘N’ Deep. The Kuroshio mare was a smart winner at Cranbourne on April 30, and Celine Gaudray retains the ride for Thursday night. Gaudray is one of the best apprentices to have on a front-runner, so expect her to take the five-year-old to the front of the field from barrier nine. Gaudray’s 2kg claim gets the weight down to 57kg, and if she can get down to the rails, Fast ‘N’ Deep will take some catching – as long as she handles the synthetic track.
Race 6 – Fast ‘N’ Deep (#6)[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1369798_06]
Best Value: Angel Rock
The Dabernig & Hayes-trained Angel Rock was an impressive winner at Cranbourne two starts back before a below-average performance at her last start. However, she looks a nice value play in the opening leg of the Pakenham quaddie. She comes to the synthetic for the first time on Thursday night and gets the benefit of Josh Richards’ 3kg claim, which gets them in with only 55.5kg. From barrier two, we expect Richards to have her out the back of the field, building through the gears at her own leisure, before savaging the line in the concluding stages of the 1600m.
