Peeping wins Group One Coolmore Classic

Peeping has given young jockey Sam Clipperton his first Group One triumph in holding on to win the Coolmore Classic at Rosehill.

Riding Peeping for his old boss Ron Quinton, Clipperton gave the mare a charmed run and she responded to beat Victorian-trained Azkadellia.

The leader Solicit held on for the minor placing.

“I’m very proud that Sam’s first Group One could be for me,” Quinton said.

Clipperton said the race unfolded for him when the speed went on at the 600m with Peeping settled in sixth place and ready to strike.

“Everything just panned out perfectly,” he said.
