Rosehill races will begin to give us a clearer picture of the Autumn Carnival with the nine race card, on Saturday, featuring some talented types. With clear weather predicted in the lead-up and the track a Soft 5, we expect it to firm into a Good 4 by race day. The rail is in the true position the entire circuit, meaning fancied runners will get their chance if given the opportunity and should have no excuses. The first at Rosehill is set to jump at 1:30pm AEDT.
Best Bet: Race 2 #7 The Bopper @ $1.90
Fresh off a near three month spell, the Kris Lees trained The Bopper resumes at Rosehill on Saturday. His last start before the spell was in the listed Brian Crowley Stakes where he absolutely bolted in when producing the best last 200m of the race in an all-the-way victory. In a small field of seven, he should be able to make the running, and as long as he can hold out the Godolphin trained Tailleur we’re backing him to build on his impressive record of 4: 3-1-0 with a victory first-up. We expect The Bopper to rise in class during the Autumn Carnival.

Having strung together a hat-trick of wins to begin this campaign the Joe Pride trained Private Eye is looking to string together a picket fence with a win in the last race of the day at Rosehill. He’s a galloper who looks to settle towards the rear of the field but possesses a turn of foot that not many can match, let alone in a BM78. With Regan Bayliss retaining the ride, the pair rate quite highly and with some luck when entering the home straight, they should prove hard to hold out in the final leg of the quaddie at Rosehill.

Peter and Paul Snowden saddle up their three-year-old filly Sahra in the second leg of the Rosehill quaddie following an impressive victory at Wyong on January 2. Sahra is a a galloper who tends to drop out the back early and storm over the top of them if given the opportunity. Having dropped 3.5kgs off her last start win at Wyong we’re backing her to add some value into the Rosehill quaddie and salute at a nice price for Winona Costin.
