Kensington racing tips & odds – Wednesday, 30 September 2020
A rare midweek meeting on the Kensington track at Randwick greets us this Wednesday with seven races set down for judgement. The track has come up a Good 4 and will stay that way with perfect conditions on the cards for race day, while the rail is in the true position. With plenty of quality gallopers going around, there is sure to be some good racing from 2pm AEST onwards.
Wednesday racing tips for Randwick-Kensington
Matthew Dunn’s 4YO gelding has come back in fine form and brings some class to this BM72 over 1800m after winning two from four starts this campaign. He looked to be full of running when entering the home straight at Rosehill three weeks back; even after being held up for most of the straight, he was able to find his way off heels and prevail in a driving go. With his two clear rivals still to get in the field, Badoosh will start closer to odds-on here. From barrier one, Hugh Bowman will aim for the economical run and prove hard to hold out.

This John O’Shea-trained colt returned in fine style at Warwick Farm two weeks back after coming from the rear of the field, making up plenty of lengths in the process to run into the minor money. He was ridden conservatively in that race after drawing out wide, and it may be the same story here after drawing one from the outside. He comes in 5kgs better off than Royal Marine, who won that race at Warwick Farm, and should get the job done here.

This 3YO filly looked to have peaked at the 100m mark when resuming at Hawkesbury three weeks back and will take benefit from that run. He will take up the running, as most Waterhouse & Bott gallopers tend to do, and if his trial in between runs is anything to go by, he will give a great sight at nice each-way odds. Nash Rawiller on board is always a bonus on frontrunners, as he rates them better than any jockey in the country.
