Zahra to give evidence at Nikolic appeal
Jockey Mark Zahra will have to give evidence in court about whether he was intimidated by fellow rider Danny Nikolic during the Smoking Aces investigation.
Zahra on Monday unsuccessfully tried to set aside a witness summons in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal as Nikolic attempts to regain his riding licence, four years after being disqualified from racing.
Racing Victoria wants to ask Zahra if he was intimidated by Nikolic during the Smoking Aces investigation into alleged race fixing involving the horse Smoking Aces in 2011.
