Yankee Rose gets first look at Caulfield

Star mare Yankee Rose has pleased trainer David Vandyke in a gallop at Caulfield.

Vandyke took the chance to gallop the mare on the course proper ahead of Saturday’s Group One Memsie Stakes.

Yankee Rose, who can be a lazy trackworker, worked better than Vandyke expected ahead of her first race since finishing unplaced as favourite in last year’s VRC Oaks.
