Cox Plate favourite Winx has galloped at the “Breakfast with the Best” at Moonee Valley.

A relaxed Winx has had her final fast gallop before the Cox Plate in front of a large early morning crowd at Moonee Valley.

Her trainer Chris Waller says everything is in order ahead of her attempt at a record-equalling third win in the weight-for-age championship.

Waller was more than happy with Tuesday’s work-out.

“She knows exactly what she’s there for,” Waller said.

“She’s very composed. She’s not a show-off. She’s just perfect.

“There was a massive crowd in front of her and she certainly wasn’t fazed.”

Waller said her routine would not change ahead of Saturday when she will be out to join Kingston Town as a three-time Cox Plate winner.

“She has a routine and we don’t want anything to go wrong,” he said.

“She will have a small amount of breakfast and then be taken out and put in an ice bath which is normal to make sure there is no heat in her legs.

“We just need to make sure there is no stone left unturned.”

Saturday’s Cox Plate is expected to be run in front of a capacity crowd.
