Weatherly out of Golden Slipper
The Paul Messara-trained Weatherly has been ruled out of the Golden Slipper with shin soreness.
The colt’s withdrawal puts Honesty Prevails in position to claim the final berth in the 16-horse field on the latest order of entry for Saturday’s $3.5 million race at Rosehill.
The Hawkes Racing team will leave it until Tuesday’s acceptance time to see how Star Turn comes through a barrier trial on Monday to confirm whether the colt takes his place in the field.
