Warwick Farm Wednesday meeting form and free tips for April 12

Warwick Farm Tips

Wednesday racing returns to the south west of Sydney as Warwick Farm hosts a full book of thoroughbred action.

There are eight races on the Warwick Farm card and we are certain that there are plenty of winners amongst the selections we have provided here.

The first race of the day is the I Am Invincible @ Yarraman over the 1200m which kicks off the card at 12.50 pm.

Race 1 – I Am Invincible @ Yarraman (1200m)

Mr Grumpy looks well placed to take this one out. The colt missed out by less than two lengths at Scone after winning two weeks prior to that at Armidale in a canter. The two-year-old is a star in the making and a decent run in transit will see it torch this field.

My Maggie is the next best horse in the field. The two-year-old filly stepped up from its maiden victory two starts ago with a strong win at Scone, taking out the race that Mr Grumpy finished fourth in

These two should be battling out the finish but we think Mr Grumpy has more upside going into this one.

Race 2 – Pluck @ Vinery BM67 (1300m)

Much like race one on the Warwick Farm card, race two has two very clear standouts.

Chris Waller-trained In Times Of War looks a filly with a bright future ahead of it. The three-year-old has never finished outside the top-two in its three start career and has trialled magnificently since its last race in October of last year. In Times Of War is the one to beat.

Three-year-old California Archer is the best placed runner to beat the Waller runner. The gelding won on debut three weeks ago at Newcastle in impressive fashion and there is no reason to think that form will not continue Wednesday.

Both runners have great claims to victory here but In Times Of War looks like a runner that has plenty of scope to progress and it will be hard to keep out.

Race 3 – Vancouver @ Coolmore BM67 (1600m)

An incredibly even field competes in the third race on the card.

Octavian Augustus is a three-year-old that has plenty of upside. Its win last time out at Newcastle was terrific and the Waller gets a 2.5kg relief on that run. Looms as a big winning hope.

Stablemate Oklahoma Girl finished just one length behind Octavin Augustus in that race and has the ability to improve on that run. The horse has placed previously second up and is unbeaten at track and distance.

James Cummings-trained Power Law is a colt that will appreciate Wednesday’s extra journey. The horse has previously placed at the 1600m trip and looks like it is ready to win again after several luckless runs.

Race 4 – TAB BM67 (1400m)

Bottom-weight Denzil is looking to maintain a sparkling run of form which has seen it not miss the quinella position since finishing fifth four starts ago. The horse was just nosed out last time in Newcastle and will be looking to bounce straight back.

Miss Ballantine failed miserably last time out, but prior to that it had not finished outside the top-three since September of last year. We are willing to forgive the run given the horse has the runs on the board.

Exitozo is a runner that has great each way claims going into Wednesday. Winning last time out by a short head, the five-year-old comes slightly back in trip where it has a 50 percent winning strike rate. The big price belies how well it can potentially go.

Race 5 – Davali Thoroughbreds BM76 (1000m)

She Zar has a sensational sprinting record and will be a major factor in the fifth race on the card. Across 10 starts at the 1000m the four-year-old has won four times and finished second a further two times. The four length win last time out at the Sapphire Coast highlighted just how dominate the mare can be.

Hot Hit comes into Wednesday’s meet at Warwick Farm in terrific form. The six-year-old justified the short price to win over the 1000m at Walcha at the beginning of February. The gelding resumes after a two month layoff and will look to emulate the form that has seen it win twice and place twice across seven first up runs.

Rose Of Man is looking to maintain a great run at Warwick Farm on Wednesday. After winning at the beginning of March the mare backed it up two weeks later by finishing third. The five-year-old loves the track and will relish running at a familiar track.

Race 6 – TAB Rewards BM71 (1200m)

Two runners are head and shoulders above the rest of the field in the sixth race on the Warwick Farm card.

Dixie Chick is a mare that has experienced good form at Warwick Farm. Across seven starts the four-year-old has won twice and placed once. The versatile runner never wins out of turn but is looking good this preparation after a fourth placed finish at Newcastle where it was less than a length off the winner.

Dagny is looking to make it three straight wins on Wednesday. The Waller-trained mare backed up its maiden win with a fantastic win in benchmark 72 company. There is no reason to think it cannot make it a hattrick of wins.

Both runners have great claims but Dagny looks terrific. It took the mare a while to get adjusted to racing conditions but now it has finally broken through the sky is the limit.

Race 7 – Bowermans Furniture BM78 (1600m)

The seventh race on the card looks to be Stampede’s for the taking.

The Waterhouse and Bott runner has never finished worse than second in its five race career and is fresh off a dominant four length victory at Goulburn three weeks ago. If the four-year-old shows up in anything close to its best form the rest of the field does not stand a chance.

The best chance to beat Stampede is stablemate Broadside. The five-year-old has a 67 percent winning strike rate, but is resuming after almost six months off the competitive track. A first up record of two wins from three starts suggests that it will be good to go on Wednesday.

It is extremely hard to go past Stampede however, which is our best bet of the day.

Race 8 – TAB.com.au BM78 (1300m)

A mammoth field of potentially 18 runners greets punters in the final race on the Warwick Farm card.

Dreamforce has never finished outside the placings in its six race career and is looking to maintain a great second up record which has seen it win once and claim third across two starts. The resuming run was impressive at Newcastle given the four-year-old missed out by a short half head.

John O’Shea’s three-year-old Jemadar is a class performer that has encountered plenty of bad luck across its last two starts. Prior to that the gelding had not finished outside the top-two over four starts. We are anticipating a bounce back performance from the Godolphin runner.

Skillful has been trialing at Warwick Farm and will be very familiar at the track. Prior to a spell the four-year-old won well at Randwick in benchmark company. If it handles the step up in class it should prove good enough to mix it in this field.

We are taking Dreamforce here. The career form is exceptional and too hard to ignore.

Race 8 tip: Dreamforce to win at Bet365.com
