Warwick Farm full form & tips for Australia Day
WARWICK FARM headlines a huge Australia Day of racing in Sydney.
The Farm will NSW’s number one option on the public holiday and we’re excited about the quality of racing that’s on.

Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

Excellent Design was good on debut and will look to improve on that second behind Spanish Dream on January 11. The horse actually drops half a kilo on that performance, and we expect it to be charging home in a similar fashion to its debut run.

Rockin’ Ruga gets a terrific gate to go back-to-back here. The horse won well at the Farm last time out to break the maiden and in a field that does not have a clear standout we believe it can record its second career win.

Race 3 – Benchmark 80 (1100m)

Lake Lugarno is third-up on Friday and it has never lost at this put at the preparation over two runs. The horse returned in good shape with a third at Warwick Farm on December 6 before delivering a win on January 5 at Canterbury.

Race 4 – Benchmark 77 (1000m)

Limbo Soul will be looking to return in terrific form after trialing coming into this one. The horse was brilliant on debut at Rosehill, recording a three length win. We think it can deliver a similar result fresh.

Race 5 – Benchmark 71 (1200m)

Tswalu has won and placed in its two runs this preparation and will deliver another strong performance with the blinkers applied for the first time. The Northern Meteor mare has won twice and placed a further two times across the distance, so expect a rock-solid run here.

Race 6 – Australia Day Cup (2400m)

Cordero is flying this preparation and is hunting a fourth-straight victory. The horse has taken all before it in recent times and we are not jumping off anytime soon.

Race 7 – Benchmark 75 (2200m)

Itsa Fait Accompli is finding its best form after an indifferent start this preparation. The horse finished miles off the pace, but bounced back with a win, then followed that up with a narrow defeat at Canterbury. The place option is our bet here.

Race 8 – Benchmark 75 (1400m)

You Make Me Smile is undefeated over two runs this preparation. This horse jumps up in class from Nowra and grade following a last-start win at BM59, but we believe it can handle this step-up.
