Vic Thompson suffers heart attack

Premiership-winning trainer Vic Thompson remains in a Sydney hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Thompson, the father of Group One-winning trainer John Thompson, became ill on Wednesday.

The winner of the 1991/92 Sydney premiership, Thompson recently renewed his licence to train a few horses at Warwick Farm where he was part of Jack and Bob Ingham’s Crown Lodge for many years.
