Vic mare Griante wins the Group One Galaxy
Griante has made the most of a late call-up to win the Group One Galaxy at Rosehill.
Rated unlucky in the Oakleigh Plate at her last start, Griante needed two scratchings to make it into the field for the 1100m scamper.
The five-year-old pounced late for Craig Williams and she raced clear to beat the fast-finishing Shiraz by three quarters of a length with Dothraki taking the minor placing, a further half length away.
