Caulfield-based trainer Tony Vasil has had his first runner since having his nomination ban lifted by Racing Victoria stewards.

Stewards invoked a nomination ban earlier this month after Vasil failed to attend an interview in relation to the ongoing Lovani case.

The stewards are continuing their investigations into the alleged race day treatment of the Robert Smerdon-trained Lovani who was scratched from a race at Flemington on October 7.

Chief steward Terry Bailey said after Vasil complied last week with a stewards order to be interviewed, the ban on his nominations was lifted.

Vasil had Teardrops run fifth at Cranbourne on Friday night and has Kedleston engaged at Mornington on Monday.
