Sunshine Coast full form & betting selections for Friday, January 12

NIGHT racing in Queensland is on the Sunshine Coast as the state begins to gear up for the Magic Millions.

Plenty of big-name trainers will be around on Friday night gearing up what could be their next big-thing, so we’re hoping for a competitive card to lead us into the weekend.

Let’s get stuck in.

Race 1 – Class 4 Handicap (1000m)

We’re expecting Tversky to just sit behind the pace here and launch late to win. The horse won well first-up on December 27 as a short-priced favourite and we see no reason why it cannot go back-to-back.

Race 1 tip: Tversky to win at Sportsbet

Race 2 – Maiden Plate (1400m)

Oh Why is at the bottom of the weights which will help greatly. The horse is a first-starter, but enters a very winnable race, and jumping from gate four is a huge benefit.

Race 2 tip: Oh Why to win at Neds

Race 3 – Class 3 Plate (1600m)

Omnia Marka Tayada gets gate three, which will help it overcome the recent run of bad luck it has experience. With not a lot of early speed in this race the horse can lead uncontested and win from the front.

Race 3 tip: Omnia Marka Tayada to win at Neds

Race 4 – Class 1 Handicap (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177792_04]

Relaxed will be looking to bounce back to form first-up and has a great record fresh. The horse trialed in brilliant fashion on the Gold Coast and comes into this race as a great winning hope.

Race 4 tip: Relaxed to win at Sportsbet

Race 5 – Maiden Plate (1200m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177792_05]

Cool Mover has been making progression with every start this preparation and will be hard to beat here if it comes with the right attitude. The horse finished just a length and a half behind the winner at the Gold Coast last-start in a competitive field and we’re expecting it breaks the maiden grade here.

Race 5 tip: Cool Mover to win at William Hill

Ladbrokes $500 Sign Up Bonus

Race 6 – Benchmark 75 (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177792_06]

Really Reilly is looking to bounce back following a poor run at Doomben on December 30. Prior to that ninth-placed finish the horse had finished no worse than second across its last six runs, including two wins at this grading.

Race 6 tip: Really Reilly to win at Ladbrokes

Race 7 – Maiden Plate (1400m)

[rmOC_events_list event_ids=1177792_07]

Princess Devine will more than likely look to lead from barrier one and we think it can win from the front. The horse will be highly competitive if it can find the front cheaply and we believe it can win at odds.

Race 7 tip: Princess Devine to win at Crownbet
