Race 1 – Open Handicap (2400m)
Outraged looms as the best horse here. The horse only missed out by three parts of a length last-time out on January 13 and looks poised to continue the progression.
Race 1 tip: Outraged to win ($2.05 at Crownbet)
Race 2 – Open Handicap (1600m)
Francisca has placed in both starts this preparation and looks well placed to add a win to a second and a third. Expect the horse to drift back from gate eight and finish over the top of them.
Race 2 tip: Francisca to win ($3.70 at Neds)
Race 3 – Class 3 (1600m)
Savwell is seeking a hat-trick and will get it if all goes according to plan. The horse has won third-up previously and the two wins this preparation have been powerful. Back the four-year-old in.
Race 3 tip: Savwell to win ($4.40 at Ladbrokes)
Race 4 – Open Plate (1200m)
Hopes Eternal is a promising galloper that looks to have a class advantage on the field. The horse blitzed its rivals in its opening two races of its career before recording a disappointing fourth, but bounced back with a second last time out. Will take a world of beating.
Race 4 tip: Hopes Eternal to win ($2.65 at Sportsbet)
Race 5 – Class 6 Handicap (1000m)
Malvern Estate is hunting a third-straight win and will be hard to beat despite the poor draw. The horse gets in well at the weights and has previously won third-up in the past. it all points to a big run.
Race 5 tip: Malvern Estate to win ($5.50 at William Hill)
Race 6 – Open Handicap (1000m)
Showus Ya Diamonds is looking to remain undefeated in its third-ever run and we believe the winning sequence will continue. It confronts a much tougher race than it has seen before but the horse loves the Sunny Coast and is going to give them something to beat.
Race 6 tip: Showus Ya Diamonds to win ($3.40 at William Hill)
Race 7 – Benchmark 75 (1200m)
Nilette has the best form coming into this, which will count for a lot. The daughter of Snitzel crushed the field two starts back before missing out by less than half a length on January 6. It is has had a short let-up and we think Nilette will win.
Race 7 tip: Nilette to win ($2.90 at Crownbet)
Race 8 – Benchmark 75 (1200m)
Bold Gypsy returns after a five month break and we think it can give a cheeky run at odds. The horse has won twice from three attempts first-up and recorded two-straight wins before being turned out. We’re backing Bold Gypsy at big odds with confidence.
Race 8 tip: Bold Gypsy to win ($23 at Crownbet)
Race 9 – Sunshine Coast Cup (1400m)
We have a high opinion of what Dreams Aplenty brings to the table and we think it can back up the resuming win with success in the feature. The horse has two placings and a win from three second-up runs and from a perfect gate we believe it has the capabilities to take out the Cup.
Race 9 tip: Dreams Aplenty to win ($4.80 at Sportsbet)
Race 10 – Rs0mw (1400m)
In a huge field to close it out Clockwork Orange’s inside draw will help immeasurably. The More Than Ready mare also has not missed a placing this preparation, culminating in a fantastic win at Doomben on January 3.
Back Clockwork Orange in and enjoy your winnings at the milkbar.
Race 10 tip: Clockwork Orange to win ($3.30 at Ladbrokes)
