Single Bullet grazed in stable mishap

Golden Slipper contender Single Bullet will have to pass a veterinary inspection to take his place in the $3.5 million race.

Trainer Gary Portelli told stewards the colt had become cast in his stable on Wednesday afternoon, suffering abrasions to both front legs and swelling to his right eye.

Portelli’s vet inspected Single Bullet and said there were no signs of lameness.

Racing NSW senior official veterinarian Craig Suann will assess Single Bullet on Thursday morning to determine if he can take his place at Rosehill on Saturday.

Single Bullet is a $26 chance with his stablemate She Will Reign the $5.50 second favourite behind Houtzen at $4.40.
