Hong Kong racing returns to Sha Tin on Saturday afternoon, with a massive 11-race program scheduled to get underway at 4pm local time. The rail moves out to the C+3 position, and with significant rainfall forecast leading into the weekend, punters can expect a yielding surface throughout the card. Check out our best bets and quaddie selections for the Sha Tin races on June 14, 2025.

Best Bet at Sha Tin: Rainbow Seven

Rainbow Seven appears primed to strike third-up after producing back-to-back minor placings. The son of Per Incanto particularly caught the eye in his most recent effort at this course and distance on May 18, surging through the line to get within a length of Blazing Wukong. Derek Leung will attempt to slot into the one-one from barrier three, and provided Rainbow Seven can stalk the leading pair throughout, watch for this guy to career away with the prize at a good price with horse racing bookmakers.

Best Bet

Race 3 – Rainbow Seven Silks#3 Rainbow Seven (3)

3yo Gelding | T: Francis Lui | J: Derek Leung (58kg)

Next Best at Sha Tin: Gentlemen Legacy

Gentlemen Legacy chased gallantly despite suffering defeat on his second Hong Kong start, closing to within 2.5 lengths of Tourbillion Prince in an on-speed dominated contest. The son of Showtime couldn’t claw back the margin over 1600m but should be suited stepping out to 1800m, with the Australian import producing his best over a staying trip in the past. Alexis Badel will go in search of a mid-field sit with cover, and provided Gentlemen Legacy has luck in transit, he must be considered the one to beat.

Next Best

Race 9 – Gentlemen Legacy Silks#7 Gentlemen Legacy (6)

4yo Gelding | T: Tony Cruz | J: Alexis Badel (58kg)

Value Best at Sha Tin: Harold Win

Harold Win was too bad to be true at Happy Valley on May 21, dropping out of the contest to finish seven lengths off Embraces. His form prior to that effort jumps off the page, however, with the Swiss Ace gelding producing four consecutive minor placings over the Sha Tin 1400m. Jerry Chau will look to lead from the middle draw (8), and with the rail setting likely to favour on-speed runners, Harold Win should have no excuses as he attempts to claim his second win of the season.

Best Value

Race 7 – Harold Win Silks#1 Harold Win (8)

4yo Gelding | T: Francis Lui | J: Jerry Chau (a1kg) (61kg)
