Hong Kong racing returns to Sha Tin for a massive 10-part program this Saturday. The rail is in the C course, and although some rainfall is forecast in the lead-up, it shouldn’t have any effect on the initial Good 4 rating. Best Bet at Sha Tin: Flash Current
Flash Current has been consistent this season, securing a win and a minor placing across his four starts. He was unplaced in his latest effort on April 6, however, unable to sprint after sitting three wide without cover throughout the 1200m. He appears set to peak stepping out to the 1400m for the first time, and with Zac Purton set to be legged aboard from gate seven, watch for Flash Current to be storming down the centre of the course to claim his second win of the preparation.

The Dennis Yip-trained Fast Network couldn’t have been more impressive in his latest outing at Sha Tin on March 30, blitzing his rivals to claim a dominant four-length victory. He was eased down in the final furlong by Hugh Bowman, leaving the suggestion the son of wrote still has plenty of upside. Barrier one should allow Bowman to take closer order aboard the rising star, and provided he can still show his stunning turn of foot between horses, Fast Network should have no issue justifying favouritism with horse racing bookmakers.

Best Value at Sha Tin: Light Years Charm
Light Years Charm was a good thing licked at Sha Tin on April 13, sustaining a torrid run three and four wide to finish second behind an airborne Hong Lok Golf. He should have no problem slotting in for cover from barrier three under Zac Purton, and provided the pair can find the one-one, expect Light Years Charm to go one better and secure his second win of the campaign.
