Seven overseas countries in Cups noms
Horses trained in seven countries outside Australia including for the first time Scotland, have been nominated for the Melbourne Cup and Caulfield Cup.
Ten overseas trainers have nominated horses for the feature races including Scotland’s Iain Jardine.
A total of 140 horses have been entered for the Melbourne Cup and 142 for the Caulfield Cup, with 31 and 22 northern hemisphere entries respectively.
