Scans show no fractures for Stackhouse

Initial X-rays have cleared jockey Daniel Stackhouse of fractures after a race fall at Pakenham.

Stackhouse came down in the straight in the fourth race on Tuesday and was taken to Dandenong Hospital amid fears he had sustained a lower leg fracture.

But the Victorian Jockeys’ Association says the news is better than hoped with Stackhouse suffering lacerations to his shin, soft tissue damage and bone bruising.
