Race 1 – Benchmark 80 (2200m)
The in-form Savwell should be winning this. This preparation the horse has won three races and placed another time across four starts, which reads well going into this.
Race 1 tip: Savwell to win ($4.60 at Sportsbet)
Race 2 – Open Handicap (2040m)
Improvise has improved with each race start this preparation and looks ready to peak at the third time of asking. The filly has one win from one third-up attempt, which also bodes well.
Race 2 tip: Improvise to win ($3.60 at William Hill)
Race 3 – Open Handicap (1200m)
First Class Miss won well on debut at this track and presents well to back that victory up. If natural progression takes its course we believe the filly will remain undefeated.
Race 3 tip: First Class Miss to win ($6 at Sportsbet)
Race 4 – Rs2mw (1200m)
The resuming De Villiers is hunting a seventh-straight success. The horse has never won first-up in the past but the form prior to being turned out cannot be denied.
Race 4 tip: De Villiers to win ($5.50 at Sportsbet)
Race 5 – Open Handicap (1200m)
Sista Act has won three of its four starts this preparation, which reads well going into this race. The horse continues to deliver with every step-up in class and this appears within its grasp.
Race 5 tip: Sista Act to win ($3.80 at William Hill)
Race 6 – Open Handicap (1050m)
The inside gate will assist Gracida here. The horse was within half a length of the winner on the Sunshine Coast and it has a good record of win and three placings from four second-up runs.
Race 6 tip: Gracida to win ($3.50 at Neds)
Race 7 – Class 3 (1200m)
River Racer is a class animal that will present well here. The mare hasn’t raced in eight months, but she has a distinct class advantage on a lot of runners.
Race 7 tip: River Racer to win ($3.20 at Neds)
Race 8 – Open Handicap (1350m)
The resuming Payroll will be looking to carry over the form from last preparation that saw it win back-to-back events. The horse has two wins from six attempts first-up and we’re confident it can deliver a quality run.
Race 8 tip: Payroll to win ($7.50 at Neds)
Race 9 – Benchmark 75 (1350m)
In a wide-open affair to close the card Char Char’s form is hard to ignore. The horse might get a wide alley to jump from but it has three wins and a second placing from four runs this preparation. Char Char has been progressing well and will be a major player.
Race 9 tip: Char Char to win ($14 at Neds)
