Eight metropolitan races head to the Sandown Hillside circuit on Wednesday with the first scheduled to jump at 12:25pm AEST. The track is currently rated a Soft 5, with the rail out 3m for the entire circumference of the course.

Race 4 – Oriental Lily @ $3.80
Dean Yendall sticks with last-start winner Oriental Lily in a bid to make it two from two on the Hinchinbrook filly. She beat home three of her main market rivals in a dominant display a fortnight ago on the Lakeside track and draws plenty of favours here. While she rises 2kg in weight, the Oriental Lily looks a class above, especially with the sting out of the ground. She will get into a great spot from gate seven just back of midfield and be too strong for these.
Race 8 – Le Belle Jude @ $4.60
Gemma Rielly saddles up the in-form La Belle Jude in the final race of the day in an 1800m Benchmark 70. The War Chant mare won by over two lengths last start at Murray Bridge, following a placing in the Listed AAMI Centaurea Stakes for Fillies & Mares at Morphettville over the carnival. She is a two-time winner at the track and finds her pet distance here. Drawn awkwardly in gate 16, apprentice Will Price will roll forward and control in a race that lacks speed. If she gets it all her own way, the drop in class should see La Belle Jude win with ease.
Race 7 – Mrs O’Malley @ $9.50
The mares are the order of the afternoon in our books, with our third play being Enver Jusufovic’s Mrs O’Malley. The Street Boss mare is coming off a midfield effort at Caulfield last start behind Ruban Bleu where she performed below par. Before that, she was a well-backed commodity at Flemington until she stood in the gates and didn’t finish the event. She gets onto a track where she has won before and finds a more suitable distance at the 1400m. Lewis German will claim 2kg and go back on the mare from barrier 13. Hopefully, the pull at the weights will see her flying home down the middle of the track and filling our pockets.
