Sale Races 25th October 2020 Horse Betting Preview
The listed Sale Cup is the feature event on the nine race card at Sale on Sunday afternoon, where at the time of writing the track has come up a Good 4, but with plenty of rain forecasted for Saturday and then on race-day it may pay to be doing the form for the card around horses with good soft track form.
The first race on Sale Cup day is set to jump at 12:30pm AEDT.

Not many wins come as easy and as impressive as this Tony McEvoy’s gelding put together three weeks ago at The Valley. It was a case of handlebars down when winning over the 955 metres in under 55 seconds, and in the process broke the track record at The Valley for the trip. He drops back to country level racing and looks a near certainty to get the job done. The only thing stopping us from declaring him a moral is he is untried on rain affected tracks, but if his last start is anything to go by, they’re going to let a fast horse be a fast horse.

As mentioned in our Sale Cup preview the godolphin gelding looks to have a bit of class on his side in the listed Sale Cup. He was runner up to the superstar WA galloper Windstorm last time out at Caulfield and looks extremely hard to hold out in the feature event on the card. It isn’t very often that star hoop Mark Zahra heads to Sale, but he does on Sunday to take the ride on Phaistos and from barrier three should get a lovely run in a transit and has the ability to put his rivals away quickly.

Logan McGill and Chris Symons team up in the opening leg of the quaddie with 5YO gelding who was able to breakthrough for his maiden victory in fine style three weeks back at Moe on rain affected ground. He should get similar conditions on Sunday, and prior to his maiden victory he had been putting together some impressive performances and should be able to handle the step up in class.
