Ryan Moore wins Tenno Sho on Maurice

Ryan Moore has steered Maurice to a comprehensive win in the Tenno Sho in Japan, two days before he rides Bondi Beach in the Melbourne Cup.

The champion English jockey already has a Melbourne Cup to his name on German horse Protectionist two years ago.

The Aidan O’Brien-trained Bondi Beach is on the fourth line of betting for Tuesday’s Cup at Flemington at $9.
