Sea Praise looks poised here. The horse should get an uncontested lead from out wide and give them something to catch. The horse sliced ten lengths from two starts ago to its last-start second placed run on February 24, so improvement should come again.

How can we go past Gypsy Toff? The horse is fresh off a ten and a half length trial win at this track on February 23 and will put pay to this lot if it can emulate that run.

Race 3 – Maiden Handicap (1100m)

Hot Chocolate comes back from the paddock and looks a strong chance to win here. Last campaign it recorded two second placed efforts from a pair of runs. The lead in trials will be crucial and we should see a much more mature galloper.

Race 4 – Maiden Handicap (1300m)

Doogus has been highly competitive across its three runs this preparation and looks ready to win. The son of Congrats has not missed a placing and had it not been for a tardy start last time out it would have won. If it steps cleanly Doogus should take this out.

Two Of A Kind is hunting a hat-trick and is well placed to get it. The horse has progressed well since recording the maiden win two starts back and this shouldn’t be that challenging.

Poetic Luck resumes for the first time since its debut win and should be highly competitive in its return. It’s going to be one day shy of a full year off the competitive circuit but the horse has trialed coming into this one. We’re backing it in.
