Robbie Fradd to ride Too Good To Refuse

Robbie Fradd will be aboard favourite Too Good To Refuse in the Glasshouse Handicap with stewards ruling he had a commitment to the Desleigh Forster-trained runner over Godolphin’s Handfast.

Fradd had ridden Too Good To Refuse at his past two starts for a second and a third at Doomben but when acceptances were declared he was on both Too Good To Refuse and Handfast in Saturday’s 1400m-Listed sprint at the Sunshine Coast.

Forster went to stewards and insisted Fradd had a firm booking for Too Good To Refuse.

“As far as I know Robbie had a firm booking for this race from three weeks ago,” Forster said.

Chief steward Allan Reardon said his panel agreed Fradd had a booking for Too Good To Refuse.

Forster said the decision was a great boost because Too Good To Refuse could be tricky to ride at times.

“Robbie has been in very good form and so has Too Good To Refuse,” she said.

“When Too Good to Refuse missed the Stradbroke, the Glasshouse was the race we set him for.

“The Sunshine Coast and 1400 metres is just perfect at this stage of his campaign.”

Forster has had a mixed winter with some close minor placings and the loss of her top stayer Cylinder Beach who broke down in the O’Shea Stakes.

“It would be nice to finish with a stakes win,” she said.
