The Kensington track at Randwick is set for a seven-race meeting this Wednesday. Clear skies this week should mean the Soft 5 track rating is upgraded to a Good 4, while the rail comes out 3m for the entire circuit. The Randwick-Kensington races will commence at 1pm AEST on June 25, 2025.
Best Bet at Kensington: Sapphire Rose
Sapphire Rose was an impressive winner on debut at Wyong on June 8, leading from barrier to box over 1100m. Draw in barrier three this time, the daughter of Blue Point should have no issue in setting up a similar situation. Ashley Morgan sticks on board, and with half the field on debut and the raced brigade lacking in form, it should be a case of jump, lead and win for Sapphire Rose.

Next Best at Kensington: Just Legendary
Just Legendary was only beaten by a two-year-old with race experience when on debut at Gosford on June 12. With the benefit of raceday experience under his belt, the Justify gelding will take some running down in what shapes up as a sit-and-sprint 1100m event. Tim Clark should not have to work too hard to find the rail from barrier nine, and with the Kensington track traditionally favouring on-pace runners early in meetings, Just Legendary should prove too slick.

Best Value at Kensington: Hasty Honey
Hasty Honey comes to the Kenso track on the back of an eye-catching run when fresh at Warwick Farm on June 4. The four-year-old mare typically doesn’t do much first-up (5: 0-0-0), so the fact she was beaten less than a length this time reads quite well ahead of this BM72 assignment. The Epaulette mare does have a second-up win on her record, however, while she is drawn to get the run of the race from barrier four under Kerrin McEvoy.
