Leg 1 – Race 5: Beck Property Group (1400m)

The Corstens’-trained Caprese is having its first start at Sandown, but it won a similar race at Moonee Valley two back and that looks a good form guide. Damien Oliver rides which will attract many punters and it’s currently a $3.80 shot with bookmakers.

Jezzabba has been the best-backed runner at $3.50. The Team Hawkes-trained filly was a stylish winner two back on this track and it was game in behind Statton in this grade last start. The daughter of Fastnet Rock is bred to rise through the grades and it has a good chance of scoring in the first leg of the quaddie.

Hunamosa has been expensive for punters this preparation after winning its first two starts. The Luke Oliver-trained gelding didn’t have the best of luck last start and it should included in quaddie bets. It has drawn nicely and Brad Rawiller takes the ride. $6 available with bookmakers.

Leg 1 quaddie tips: 2, 9, 11

Leg 2 – Race 6: Sportsbet R70 (1600m)

Kalidaz faced its second rise in class in as many starts last time out and ran well for third. The Greg Eurell-trained mare won back-to-back starts earlier this campaign and the slow track played against its chances last start. Expect it to go forward from the wide draw and be tough to beat at $3.50.

Iron Spider has also been well backed despite having not won this preparation. The Michael Kent-trained gelding had no luck in behind Red Bomber in the Vobis Gold Mile last start and it should have finished closer. Its form prior included placings behind the well-performed Spreadeagled and Oxbow which shapes up well for this. $4 available with bookmakers.

Leg 2 quaddie tips: 11, 12

Leg 3 – Race 7: Catanach’s Jewellers R70 (1200m)

Good Offa won its only start on this track and it comes into this having run second on a heavy track last start. The four-year-old’s best outing came in defeat behind Supido which has won its last five starts and Good Offa finished only 1.5 lengths behind it. That’s great form for midweek level and the $6 is a good offer.

Miniver has had an interrupted career to date, but it is capable of taking this out at its best. The John O’Shea-trained mare has won two from nine starts with four placings and it also won its only start on this track. It finished third behind the well-performed Serenade last start and it should go close with Craig Williams in the saddle. On the second line of betting at $7.

Heza Ripper is a former New Zealand runner which won its first Australian start at Geelong by 1.25 lengths. Now with David Hayes and Tom Dabernig, the four-year-old gelding has been running on well of late and this looks a suitable target at $7.

Leg 3 quaddie tips: 8, 10, 11

Leg 4 – Race 8: Le Pine Funerals R70 (2100m)

The Bandit is a two-win horse which produced a good finish in a handy form race last start. The John Sadler-trained four-year-old was a winner two back before finishing 2.45 lengths behind Zahspeed last start. It rises up to 60.5kg for this which isn’t ideal, but there has been plenty of money invested at $3.50 and it should be included in quaddie bets.

Western Kingdom is also a two-win horse which was an impressive last start winner. The Robert Smerdon-trained four-year-old scored by a half-length at Pakenham and it should progress through the grades this preparation. It is well weighted at 57.5kg with Mark Zahra in the saddle and the $5 is a handy each way price.
