OK, this is starting to become a little bit ridiculous, and before you say anything, yes, we are quite salty here at Punt Drunk. Don’t get us wrong, we are bloody stoked for this punter who turned $8 in to just over $20,000 and has made his Christmas 2020 that much better. The most impressive winner of the lot had to have been Part Time Lover in Race 4 at Sandown. If anyone has a ridiculous multi like this for us to follow in, then you know where to find us each and every day.
What’s on our Christmas list for 2021?
A question which has no boundaries. Do we want to back the winning quaddie at every meteor meeting in 2021? Absolutely we do. Do we want to pick the first four for the Melbourne Cup in running order? That’s a no brainer. However, let’s be more realistic. Everyday in our daily edition of Punt Drunk we give out the best tip of the day for the battlers, we’ll be aiming to get a streak of 10 best bets in a row to salute in 2021. If that happens, we’ll be happier than a pig in shit, although we probably still won’t have as big of a purse as old mate with that seven-leg multi. We promise we aren’t that salty!

We have been all over the Ben Melham story like a rash, and yesterday afternoon the experienced jockey was handed a mere five-month ban for having a punt at three different meetings. It really does make you wonder about the double standards that consist in racing, considering how harshly Sydney-based jockey James McDonald was treated when getting an 18-month suspension for just one bet. Melham will count himself lucky without a doubt and will have plenty of time to build up his confidence over the winter ahead of the 2021 Spring Racing Carnival.
