Prince Of Penzance out of Melbourne spring carnival
2015 Melbourne Cup winner Prince Of Penzance is out of the Melbourne spring carnival following an injury at Caulfield on Saturday.
The seven-year-old finished fourth in the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes, but suffered a fracture during the run.
Racing Victoria stewards stated that Prince Of Penzance would require surgery to an injury on its off-fore leg.
Prince Of Penzance has been in the limelight since winning the Melbourne Cup at odds of $101 and in particular its association with winning jockey Michelle Payne.
