Pierata’s stud career has been deferred and he is to stay in training for The Everest.

Group One winner Pierata is to stay in training and be aimed at The Everest representing Aquis Farm which has deferred his stud career.

Trained by Greg Hickman, Pierata fulfilled his Group One destiny last month with his victory in the All Aged Stakes at Randwick.

Aquis then entered into a Heads of Agreement with Pierata’s owners and has announced the horse will take its slot in The Everest in October.

Pierata was not selected for the race last year and instead ran in the Group Three Sydney Stakes on the day, recording a faster time than Redzel did to win the main event.

He has won seven of his 19 starts and earned more than $3.3 million.
