The Nicconian has placed twice in its last four starts and that form looks best here.
The best finish of the opposition was a sixth in a field of nine and the top weight should have them covered.

Ice Maker has placed in three of its four starts this campaign and the inside draw is only going to help its chances.
The eight-year-old is winless after 51 starts, but we believe its time is coming and there should be plenty of sentimental support.

Race 3 – Maiden Plate (1720m)

Jewel of Denmark has improved with every run this campaign and it could go close to winning.
The six-year-old hasn’t come out on top in 19 starts, but there isn’t much to this maiden field and it could be a value runner.

Roman Skylab went close to winning last campaign with three minor placings and it looms as a major winning hope here.
A gelding by Husson Lightning, the five-year-old could take advantage of a poor field and the inside barrier.

Race 5 – C2 Handicap (1190m)

Nanga Parbat doesn’t always run the most consistent races, but it clearly has the best form in this.
The five-year-old is a three-time winner from 23 starts, which has won and placed multiple times this season.
Race 5 tip: Nanga Parbat to win at Neds.com.au
Race 6 – C5 Handicap (1100m)

Valderi Valdera was a model of consistency last season, winning three and finishing second in the other two starts.
Its last two runs were only fair, but she was sent out for a spell which would have helped.
Race 6 tip: Valderi Valdera to win at Sportsbet.com.au
Race 7 – C2 Handicap (1900m)

Crackasafe was a 1.5-length winner on debut and it could remain unbeaten here.
It should get every chance from a nice draw and be in the finish.
