Another weekend, another Saturday at Morphettville on the Parks track. We look set to be racing on a Good 4, and with nine races set down for judgement we will try and steer the Punters into some winners and round out your Saturday on the punt with a collect in the quaddie.
What was not to like about this Gelding’s winner on his Australian debut at Murray Bridge? He lead the field up, and kicked away to score eased down by 6 lengths. The in-form Jessica Eaton retains the ride and in a four horse field she’ll be able to get to the front with ease, one would feel and the Michael Hickmott trained galloper should prove hard to catch and give punters around the country a successful leg in plenty of all up bets.
Leon Macdonald seemingly has another good one on his hands in the 3YO Filly Pimm’s Party. On debut she shared the lead over 1200 metres and scored easily, here’s she’s back to 1000 metres and with gun hoop Jason Holder from barrier four, you would think the game plan would be the same. Get to the rails, and at the top of the straight give a kick and prove hard to catch in quite a competitive race.
Usually we’ll try and steer you into a runner at good each way odds, this time around we have found one over the odds that is a genuine winning chance. The David Jolly trained 4YO Mare came up at $10, and with early support has come right into calculations. No knock on the favourite who was impressive on debut when winning whilst three deep the trip, but Trip looks well placed here to lead the field and play it as a catch me if you can as he did last time out when caught and going down by half a length.
