Saturday racing tips for Morphettville
A nine-race card is set down for judgement on Saturday afternoon on the Parks track at Morphettville. Small fields are the order of the day early on, but they look to get deeper as the meeting goes on. A near-perfect spring day is forecasted, and we’re set fair for a nice day of racing on a Good 4. The first at Morphettville is set to jump at 12:26pm ACDT.
David Jolly’s 4YO mare is a favourite of ours and has not run outside of the quinella in her last five runs, including a hat-trick of wins. She’s a galloper who makes her own luck up on speed and always pushes a genuine tempo. This will be her eighth start this campaign, so we know she is rock-hard fit. She has won twice on the Parks track, and it’s hard to see her getting run down if she has an easy time of it up front.

This 5YO gelding from the Jordan Frew stable had plenty of excuses at his last start on the course proper four weeks ago, but he still had plenty in reserve to go on to a commanding victory at a similar price to what he is here. From barrier 10, Dom Tourneur may opt to get him up on pace considering there isn’t much early pace involved. If he can get a bit of luck early on, there is no reason why he shouldn’t be fighting out the finish here. We get a nice price to find out if Li’l Hank can measure up in consecutive starts.

Grant Young’s 7YO gelding seemingly goes around every fortnight and keeps putting in consistent performances. Three runs back, he held on for a tough win after looking vulnerable in the concluding stages. Despite a great run in transit a fortnight ago, he peaked on his run early in the straight but kept battling to the line to only go down by two lengths. From barrier nine, and with Sophie Logan on board with her 3kg claim, Beeokay should be up there on the speed and looks to be a nice value play to round out the Morphettville card.
