Mornington form turnaround for Our Harmony

David Brideoake is hoping a Our Harmony’s return to her home track will improve her fortunes.

The daughter of Nadeem is unbeaten in two runs on the Mornington circuit and lines up in the No Fuss Event Hire Handicap on Saturday.

While her two previous Mornington wins have been over 1000m, Brideoake is adamant the 1200m is her preferred journey.

In an open betting race Our Harmony shares the third line of betting at $4.80 with Andrioli.

A Lotta Love is the $4.40 favourite.

Our Harmony disappointed at her last start in beating only one runner home at Bendigo on March 19, but Brideoake has warned punters to put a line through the performance.

“Her last run she was in the wrong part of the track and on ground she probably didn’t like,” Brideoake said.

“I suppose we can only take that effort on face value, but from my end she’s in good shape.

“Getting back to Mornington will suit and the distance will suit her also.”

Our Harmony has been winless since posting her third win in four starts at Caulfield last July but Brideoake said her form, apart from the Bendigo performance, had been consistent this campaign.

She has notched three placings from her five runs and was trapped wide when sixth in Group Three company during the Hobart carnival in February.

“We haven’t had much luck for a couple of starts and we’re hoping for a bit more luck on Saturday,” Brideoake said.

“She’s a versatile horse and she’s drawn to get a pretty good run.”
