The forecast for extreme heat in three states has resulted in more scheduling changes for race meetings with the Kilmore provincial meeting in Victoria moved to another day while a picnic meeting has been abandoned.

Racing Victoria announced on Tuesday the Caulfield metropolitan meeting which was scheduled for Saturday had been moved to Sunday, swapping with the Mornington meeting which will now be run earlier in the day on Saturday.

After taking into account the latest forecast on Wednesday, RV has rescheduled Saturday’s Kilmore meeting to Monday.

The Dederang picnic meeting, also programmed for Saturday, has been abandoned.

South Australian officials moved Saturday’s Gawler metropolitan meeting to the following day while Sydney’s metropolitan meeting on Saturday has been shifted from Warwick Farm to Randwick where it is expected to be several degrees cooler.
