Moe races

An eight-race card out at Moe greets us on Tuesday afternoon. It looks like we are racing on a Soft 6, with the first to jump at 1:30pm AEST. The rail is back at 4m after being out 6m when we last raced here on heavy going on August 23. With plenty of debutants scattered throughout the card, there will be plenty to learn before we head to Sandown on Wednesday.

Tuesday racing tips for Moe

Best Bet
Race 4 – Zoupino @ $3

Lloyd Kennerwell had a good opinion of this 4YO mare during the spring carnival last year, especially when she wasn’t far beaten by the now retired Loving Gaby. Zoupino seems to have returned in good fashion with consistent performances at Bendigo, with her one run at Caulfield being the only blemish. She is yet to go unplaced over the 1100m range, and all of those runs have come with sting out of the ground. If the young star in Campbell Rawiller can overcome the tricky barrier, there shouldn’t be too many excuses.

Next Best
Race 7 – Ajay’s Ace @ $4.80

William Pike jumps on this 4YO mare, who had a complete forgive run at Sale last time out when not handling the Heavy 9 at all. Prior to that, she had two starts this campaign where she jumped favourite and was ultra impressive when breaking her maiden second up. If she can replicate that here, she just may have too much class for this field. The extra 300m will only benefit her as well.

Best Value
Race 6 – Awaytoff @ $12/$3.80 EW

Was only just run down last time around here at this range, and the drop in weight may just be the recipe for success considering the wide draw. Jarrod Fry sticks on board, and you would think he would send this 5YO gelding forward from the car park. There are plenty of chances in this race, but you cannot pass up these odds considering how gallant he was last start.
