Ipswich market movers

First race: Eljetem

Money continues to trickle in for Queensland trainer Kelly Schweida’s first chance of the day, which has steadily dropped from +1200 into +750. Bettabet Red has retreated half a buck to +800 after coming in from +1100, which is where Fleur D’orange has settled following a big move from +1600.

Fourth race: Bold Xavvi

Buoyed by a win on the last start, punters had backed Bold Xavvi in as short as +850 before the two-year-old gelding settled at +900 – still a significant cut on the +1300 opening quote. Dream Kisses has gone the other way, drifting from +2500 out to +3300.

Fifth race: Raja Ampat

There is plenty of love for a horse that has not finished outside the top four in seven starts. Having opened at +1000, Raja Ampat now holds the fourth line of betting at +700 and could well come in further. The runners to beat are Sundance (+340), Sir Donald (+380) and Tyatrolani (+400).

Sixth race: Last Sight

Initially one of four horses in single digit odds, Last Sight has retreated steadily and now sits out at +1200. The bookies have pushed Hot Money back a point to +550, but Allzin (+210) is going nowhere as trainer Graham Hoy eyes a fourth straight win with the five-year-old bay gelding.

Ninth race: Notonyourlife

Notonyourlife sounds like something punters might say about the Tony Gollan-trained chestnut mare in the last at Ipswich. She has no form since returning from a four-month spell and could leak out much further than her current +1600 quote. Also on the move is Hermosa Beach, which has tightened three full points from +1900.

Moonee Valley markets movers

First race: Speak Softly

The two-year-old filly from the Hayes and Dabernig stables must have done something right in her maiden run at Pakenham Park last month, because punters have backed her from +700 into +360 outright favouritism. Also shortening sharply is Darren Weir’s Zelsignoret, which is into +650 after opening at +1000.

Second race: Miss Vesper

The T.J. Hughes-trained filly was caught midfield in the Light Fingers last time out, yet strong support has seen her plunge from +1300 into +800 for the 1000m Bidfood Handicap. Frock ‘N’ Bling has also come in a few dollars, from +1200 to +900, while top tips If Not Now When (+240) and Airino (+450) are holding steady.

Fourth race: Soho Ruby

Having opened on the second line at +600 after a string of top-four finishes, Levi Kavanagh’s three-year-old filly has now edged into favouritism at +340. Mamzelle Tess has eased from +500 out to +700, but otherwise there is little to report at the top end of the market.

Sixth race: Mystified

Damien Oliver’s mount is the big mover here. The bay filly has plunged from +1300 into +750, where she joins a thick pack of prospects chasing joint +400 favourites Katsuro and Highland Beat. There is also a hint of support for She’s Beneficial (+4000 into +3300) and Toosbuy (+6000 into +5000) at the bottom end.

Seventh race: Megablast

Tightening from +750 into +450, the Kiwi grey gelding is looking likely to make his Australian debut as second favourite to Hursley (+290). Show A Star has moved out a couple of dollars to +700, while punters have dropped right off Extra Zero (+1200 out to +1700).

Eight race: Kenjorwood

After opening on the third line behind Rhythm To Spare and Data Point (both now +450), Kenjorwood has almost doubled in price to +1300. The major mover at the head of the market is Heart Starter, which has shed more than three dollars to claim outright favouritism at +360.

Rosehill Gardens market movers

Fourth race: Foreign Affair

Rosehill’s BM85 fourth is littered with big movers. Foreign Affair has flown in from +1600 to +900, while All In The Reflexs (+1500 to +900), Allez Chival (+1300 to +900) and Validate (+1200 into +750) have also plunged.

Fifth race: Moss ‘N’ Dale

The vast majority of the money here is on the second-top weight, which is water-tight at +190 from an opening quote of +340. There is not a lot to report on the rest of the market. There was some solid support for Obsidian, but the Chris Waller-trainer gelding has drifted back out to +2500.

Seventh race: Nudierudie

After entering the market near the rear, Nudierudie has shortened as far as +1500 to emerge as the best of the outside hopes. This is an especially tricky field for punters, with no fewer than five horses in between +400 favourite Badajoz and +850 chance Princefamous.

Ninth race: Raijinz

Rachel King’s ride in last has made excellent ground since the market opened, moving from +2200 into +1500 despite some indifferent form. The upper end has seen minimal fluctuation, with Wild ‘N’ Famous holding firm at +380 on the first line of betting.
