Margaret Quinton dies suddenly

Margaret Quinton, the wife of Sydney trainer Ron Quinton, has died suddenly from a heart attack.

A former champion jockey, Ron Quinton has nurtured the careers of many young riders who he and his wife welcomed into their home including Hugh Bowman and Sam Clipperton.

Margaret also took an active part in running their business.

Funeral details have not yet been announced.
