There’s plenty of great races on and we’re looking forward to what the day will bring, so let’s get stuck straight into our tips.

Race 1 – Maiden Handicap (1100m)
Last Chance looms as the best hope here. The horse debuted on December 14, finishing just two parts of a length behind winner Craiglea Rubble. We think it can shake the maiden tag in its very next race start.
Race 1 tip: Last Chance to win at Sportsbet
Race 2 – Maiden (1050m)
Mishani La Scala should be able to find the front easily here and give them something to catch. We believe the horse is well placed to break through at the seven time of asking in a relatively weak maiden field.
Race 2 tip: Mishani La Scala to win at Neds
Race 3 – Class 4 Handicap (1200m)
Spur With Ease is one of the unluckiest runners in the country right now. The horse has gone down in back-to-back events by a nose and now carrying just 54kg it should be beating this field with ease.
Race 3 tip: Spur With Ease to win at Neds
Race 4 – Benchmark 55 (1050m)
More Worldly experienced a dud run at benchmark 65 level, but still managed to finish inside the first four. A drop back in class should be beneficial here and we think it can bounce back to the form that saw it win five-straight races.
Race 4 tip: More Worldly to win at Sportsbet
Race 5 – Benchmark 60 (1300m)
Mason’s Chance is expected to spear forward from gate four and lead the eight runner field. Last time out the horse ran second behind Craiglea Ceon by two parts of a length and a 2.5kg weight relief should be greatly assist the son of Pressday.
Race 5 tip: Mason’s Chance to win at William Hill
Race 6 – Handicap (1050m)
Bradman will benefit from the hot expected tempo. The horse will look to settle towards the back of the field and storm over the top of them. Bradman is also racing second-up where it has won in the past. It all bodes well for a quality performance.
Race 6 tip: Bradman to win at Crownbet
Race 7 – Class 3 Plate (1560m)
Craiglea Ceon won well at Emerald last time out and in a field where not a lot of horses will look to lead it should get to the head of affairs uncontested. From there we believe it lead and win with the light weight.
Race 7 tip: Craiglea Ceon to win at Crownbet
