Luke Nolen gets two days off riding ban
Luke Nolen has had two days shaved off a careless riding ban on appeal.
Nolen fronted the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board on Wednesday appealing the eight-meeting ban handed out at Caulfield last Saturday.
Racing Victoria stewards found Nolen guilty of careless riding in the Selangor Turf Club Handicap when he shifted out at the 700m mark.
Nolen was appealing both the stewards decision to suspend him and the severity of the ban.
The RAD Board dismissed his appeal against conviction but reduced the ban by two days.
On top of what is now a six-meeting Caulfield suspension, Nolen has a further six-meeting ban from Monday’s Flemington meeting.
Nolen will miss next week’s Warrnambool three-day carnival but will be back for the Group One meeting in Adelaide on May 7.
