Lismore racing preview
Seven races will be run and won on Monday afternoon at Lismore in northern New South Wales. The track is rated a Good 4, and the rail is in the +2.5m position from the 950m to the 400m, +1.5m from the 400m to the winning post and true for the remainder. The first race will jump at 1:47pm AEDT.
Disarmed goes around as favourite in the last race on the program and looks a great chance to send punters home a winner. He’s been around the money all prep at Ipswich and the Gold Coast, running in some good form races. The inside alley will allow Ryan Wiggins to box seat and get a very cozy run in behind the speed. The 1310m should suit too.

Verdancy comes off back-to-back wins, albeit in weaker grade at Casino and Murwillumbah. The step up from Benchmark 45 to Benchmark 58 is a steep rise, but in doing so, he drops 4kg. Emily Atkinson has made use of her 1.5kg claim in the gelding’s last two starts, and that should help again today. They’ll likely settle a touch worse than midfield from barrier 11, but under the light weight, the pair will rattle home out wide.

Warren Gavenlock takes just the one runner to Lismore on Monday. He has had some success at the track over the past 12 months, with a 15% win strike rate and a 243% return on investment. Money Travels has performed somewhat below par in his last few starts, but he should be rock-hard fit in this maiden over 1410m. While he is a 23-start maiden, he does have seven placings to his name. That is more than nearly half the field combined, indicating that this is a very weak race. Shane Arnold will get into a good spot from barrier two and give his mount every chance to salute at an each-way price.
