Lady Aurelia confusion lights up Twitter on first Day at Ascot
ANYONE watching day one of the Royal Ascot coverage would have no doubt been blown away by the stellar performance of American wonderhorse Lady Aurelia.
The gun runner took at the Group One King’s Stand in consummate ease overnight, rubberstamping it as one of the best international raiders to grace the Ascot turf after winning the race last year.
Breathtaking! ?

Confusion reigned in Australia however.
We are not sure if the numbers boy at the Australian headquarters stuffed up or was asleep at the wheel, but interim dividends told a different story to the vision.

It was not just Ladbrokes either.

Thankfully those who backed the gun runner did not miss out on a dividend and one thing is for certain coming out of the big win; Lady Aurelia’s legacy as a worldwide racing icon.
There’s just something about those @StonestreetFarm fillies. New life goal: see Lady Aurelia in person. #RoyalAscot https://t.co/117GwClipk

The horse is definitely on our racing bucket list, which brings us to.
Will we see the lady grace the Aussie turf for the Everest?
The big question for us though, is whether we will see the superstar grace our shores later in the year.
Lady Aurelia absolutely cantered in the Kings Stand stakes @racing_nsw let’s hope she comes for The Everest

The horse firmed for the Everest on the back of the win.
Took Lady Aurelia at $17 for The Everest last night after her impressive #RoyalAscot win
She’s now into $12
Fingers crossed she comes ?

But nothing has been confirmed, other than connections alluding to a possible run down under.

For us, it would be the shot in the arm the Everest needs to solidify itself as a key fixture on the world racing calendar, but we will not be holding our breath.
