Kilmore tips & full form for Thursday, February 1

KILMORE is back this Thursday and a great eight race card awaits punters.

There’s a number of runners here that have the potential to be city-grade types, so let’s take a look at which elects we are choosing.

Looking for a new bookmaker ahead of Kilmore’s card?

Race 1 – Maiden Plate (1912m)

The aptly named Don’t Dismiss looks a live-chance after placing in back-to-back events. The four-year-old has finished in the runner’s up position in its last two runs and will have no competition for the early lead. Back Don’t Dismiss in.

Race 1 tip: Don’t Dismiss to win at Neds

Race 2 – Maiden (1612m)

We have a high opinion of Hardly Surprising, which has never finished outside the first-two in its three race career. The horse has been making progression with every start, culminating by finishing less than a length away from hot prospect Necessary.

Race 2 tip: Hardly Surprising to win at Neds

Race 3 – Maiden (1112m)

On debut at Yarra Valley Geneva Diva jumped as a triple figure outsider and nearly caused a boilover. The bookies will not be offering a similar price around this runner following that run, and we think it can deliver at the second time of asking.

Race 3 tip: Geneva Diva to win at Neds

Race 4 – Maiden (1112m)

In a race with a lot of runners that have something to prove Macstryker looks a good selection. The horse was far from disgraced all the way back in August at Wodonga, and should return from the paddock as a much stronger runner. Draws perfectly and will be hard to beat.

Race 4 tip: Macstryker to win at William Hill

Race 5 – Benchmark 58 (1612m)

Champagne Nights is second-up, where it has previously placed at in the past. The horse placed behind smart type I’m The Boss in its resuming run and with Damien Oliver electing to retain the ride we have a ton of confidence.

Race 5 tip: Champagne Nights to win at Neds

Race 6 – Benchmark 58 (1462m)

After dropping back in grade Mutin looks to be the runner to beat here. The Hayes, Hayes and Daberning runner placed at BM64 level at Yarra Valley on January 9, and while it rises slightly in weight the run at the higher level gives us reason enough to get on.

Race 6 tip: Mutin to win at William Hill

Race 7 – Benchmark 64 (1912m)

Get Ya Kicks has won at this grading this preparation and after a short let-up of almost a month, it should be fresh and ready to win again. The six-year-old is making its Kilmore debut, but in a field where not a lot stands out the Keep The Faith gelding looms as a winning threat.

Race 7 tip: Get Ya Kicks to win at Neds

Race 8 – Benchmark 58 (1212m)

A perfectly drawn Tiffany’s Belle will be hard to hold out here. Racing for the fourth time this preparation, the Bel Esprit mare has been making headway with every start and is over due for a win.

Race 8 tip: Tiffany’s Belle to win at Ladbrokes
